Description:
Lenvaheal 10 contains Lenvatinib 10mg is an oral multi-kinase inhibitor, available in 10mg capsule form, used in the treatment of certain types of cancer, such as thyroid cancer, renal cell carcinoma, and hepatocellular carcinoma. It works by inhibiting angiogenesis and tumor cell proliferation.

Uses:
Lenvaheal 10 - Lenvatinib 10mg capsule is indicated for the treatment of:

  • Differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) that is refractory to radioactive iodine treatment
  • Advanced renal cell carcinoma (in combination with other agents)
  • Unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma

Metabolism:
Lenvatinib is metabolized primarily in the liver, mainly via cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYP3A). It undergoes oxidation and demethylation, with the main circulating metabolite being an inactive form.

Adverse Effects:
Common adverse effects include:

  • Hypertension
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea
  • Decreased appetite
  • Weight loss
  • Nausea
  • Stomatitis
Serious side effects may include arterial thromboembolic events, liver impairment, and proteinuria.

Distribution:
Lenvatinib is highly protein-bound (approximately 98-99%) in plasma. The volume of distribution is moderate, indicating some tissue penetration.

Excretion:
Lenvatinib and its metabolites are excreted mainly via feces (about 64%), with a smaller portion excreted in urine (approximately 25%). The elimination half-life is about 28 hours.

Dosage:
The recommended starting dose for adults varies depending on the cancer type and combination with other drugs. For differentiated thyroid cancer, the usual starting dose is 24 mg orally once daily. Dose adjustments may be required based on tolerability and adverse reactions.
